Disclosure response self-assessment
28 questions about what would actually happen if a child spoke to an adult in your organization this afternoon. It takes about fifteen minutes and it is designed to be uncomfortable.
How it scores
This scores you against the Disclosure Response Requirements, which are published in full and free to implement. Every item is weighted, and seven areas are scored separately so you can see which part of your response is weakest rather than only a single number.
Six items are marked Required. Fail any one of them and no tier is available at any score. That is deliberate: an assessment that let an organization offset an unlawful reporting route against tidy record-keeping would be worse than no assessment at all.

| Tier 2 — Practised | Trained within two years, and rehearsed out loud. |
| Tier 3 — Accountable | Reviewed on a cycle, and accountable to the child after the report. |
Nothing you enter here is transmitted, stored or logged.
The assessment runs entirely in your browser. We do not receive your answers, your organization's name, or the fact that you opened this page. There is no analytics on this site. An organization discovering it is not ready is telling us nothing.
Why this cannot certify you
A self-assessment records what an organization believes about itself, and it is generous by nature, because the person filling it in is usually the person who wrote the procedure being assessed.
Independent verification examines evidence: the procedure itself, training records, whether the emergency number was dialled, and whether the named people know they are named. Verified organizations are listed in a public registry with the date of their review, so anyone — including a parent — can check.
